One of the classes we will have is  How to Create Custom Fonts and who better to instruct the class than our very own,  Irene Alexeeva!  In her own words, Miss Irene tells you a little bit about herself:

Hi sweets!

I’m Irene and I live in Russia together with my beloved husband and our precious 4-year-old daughter. I’m a blonde skinny gal who is not very sociable and a bit weird, loves anything whimsical, black color and is allergic to sunrays. I started designing back in the beginning of 2007 and it takes almost 24/7 of my time. My kits are the reproduction of my childhood fantasies or my dreams. One of the biggest inspiration to create art are the stories my little one composes herself and keeps telling everyone I owe her credit for flying pigs, multicolored blimps, fruit helicopters and banana boats. Typography is one of the digi branches I’m enjoying. Doodling letters on paper or in Illustrator and turning them into such an”alive” product like font requires time, skills and patience, but once you get the result – you get the total thrill!!!

Sometimes I let myself have some weekends (hehe) which I enjoy spending with my loved ones. I love painting, cars, a glass of good champagne and seafood.

Our family has a travel bug and we try to grab every opportunity to explore every single corner of the world! Going to the convention will be our first visit to the States and we’re so excited. Besides, I’m a big stiletto geek and apart from designing shopping is my another passion
