One of the classes we will have at the digital scrapbook convention will cover Hybrid; as the name suggests Hybrid is a mix of digital and paper scrapbooking. It really is one of our favorite aspects of digital scrapbooking and the results are amazing!
And who better to teach the Hybrid class than our very own Hybrid Goddess, Samara. Don’t know who Miss Samara is? Well, let us introduce her to you!
Hi everyone! My name is Samara and I’m a die hard crafter. Seriously, that really sums me up! I began my journey into crafting nearly 20 years ago. I was bit by the rubber stamping bug. That obsession led into traditional scrapbooking. My first digital camera led me directly to digital scrapbooking. I was so tempted to sell off my traditional paper goodies. I actually boxed them up and didn’t even look at them for several years! In 2008, I began to miss the feel of real paper, but at the same time I was hooked on my digital. That is when my true love entered my life, hybrid. I love to create tangible objects using my digital stash. I love to get my fingers dirty with glue and glitter and ink, but I also love to use Photoshop! I’m so fortunate to be able to create for Scrap Orchard, it truly is a dream job!
I live in Southern California with my husband of 14 years and our two amazing children. We enjoy camping, off-roading, boating, and youth sports. I’m also a full time teacher, my current assignment is sixth grade. I’ve been teaching for nearly 13 years.
Miss Samara’s creations are out of this world and we can only hope to ever be as good as she is at Hybrid. Don’t believe us, just take a look at her awesomeness:

Miss Samara has a very special hybrid project planned for y’all at the convention, we just know you are going to love it!
